School Supply List for 2020-2021 Traditional and Hybrid Students

Transitional kindergarten (20-21)

Portola Springs Elementary will provide all of the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience. However, you may choose to assist the school by purchasing the following supplies for your student. Please note, TK supplies are communal please do not label your donated supplies. Thank you. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

 

SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST

  • 2 boxes of Crayola 24 count crayons (regular size, not jumbo)
  • 1 box Crayola markers “Classic Colors” (regular size)
  • 1 box Crayola markers “Classic Colors” (skinny size)
  • 1 box of sharpened colored pencils
  • 1 pair of children’s scissors
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex
  • 6 or more glue sticks
  • 1 bottle of white glue
  • 1 box of dry erase markers
  • 1 bottle of liquid hand soap
  • 2 bottles of hand sanitizer
  • 3 containers of surface sanitizing wipes
  • 1 box of gallon size Ziploc baggies
  • 1 box of sandwich size Ziploc baggies
  • 1 or more Reams of copier paper (white 8 1/2 X 11)
  • 1 package of Small Stickers
  • Donations of Paper plates (dessert or regular size), plastic silverware, and dixie cups will also be put to good use throughout the year.

Please write your child’s name on backpack, lunch pail, and outer clothing. We also recommend having supplies (including kid scissors and glue) at home for practice.

kindergarten (20-21)

Portola Springs Elementary will provide all of the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience. However, you may choose to assist the school by purchasing the following supplies for your student. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

*Please note a backpack is not necessary for Kindergarten. Thank you!*

 

SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST

  • 1 or 2 inch white 3 ring view binder (Keep at home as your child’s Memory Book)
  • 1 10 pack of Crayola Twistables
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • 2  SMALL Elmer’s glue sticks
  • 1 bottle of Elmer’s glue
  • 2 hi-polymer white eraser
  • 2 bottles or 1 large bottle of hand sanitizer
  • 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
  • 1 box of gallon size Ziploc baggies
  • 1 box Crayola washable markers (classic colors)
  • 1 ream of copier paper (white 8 1/2 X 11)

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL ITEMS

  • Red, yellow, green, and blue play-dough
  • 1 box of colored dry erase markers
  • Extra Fine Black Expo Markers
  • 1 ream white cardstock and/or bright colored copy paper
  • 1 box of sharpened colored pencils

Please write your child’s name on water containers and ALL clothing. You do not need to write your child’s name on the school supplies. 

1st grade (20-21)

  • Backpack: small, without wheels
  • Pencil box: 1 clear pencil box, standard size (8-3/8 in. L x 5-5/8 in. W x 2-1/2 in.) 
  • Disinfecting wipes: 1 pack, Lysol* or Clorox*
  • 1.5-inch white binder with clear cover
  • 1 ear buds (clearly labeled with student’s name)
  • Boys Bring: Gallon-sized Ziploc
  • Girls Bring: Quart-sized Ziploc

Please write your child’s name on backpack, lunch pail, and outer clothing. Please put crayons, student scissors, and dry-erase markers inside pencil box. Please do not label supplies as they will be shared between the entire class. We also recommend having school supplies at home.

2nd grade (20-21)

  • 1 ear buds (clearly labeled with student’s name)

  • 1 Sterilite Pencil Box (standard size 8-3/8 in. L x 5-5/8 in. W x 2-1/2 in.) 
  • Boys: Gallon sized Ziploc bags
  • Girls: Quart sized Ziploc bags
  • 1 pair of dice

3rd grade (20-21)

Portola Springs Elementary will provide all of the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience. However, you may choose to assist the school by purchasing the following supplies for your student. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

Should you choose to purchase a backpack, we suggest that it be standard size, not extra-large, rolling backpack. Backpack hooks are provided and we would like students to hang their backpacks on hooks to keep them off the floor (to prevent ants and prevent students tripping over them).

 

SUGGESTED 3RD GRADE SUPPLY LIST  (in order of importance)

  • Two 8 1/2 by 11” THICK Spiral Notebooks with at least 120 pages (example)
  • Two plastic two-pocket folders with prongs (example)
    • Red and Green colors please
  • Pre-sharpened pencils
  • Markers (thick and/or thin)
  • 2 black Sharpies (no fine tip)
  • Two reams of copier paper (white 8 1/2 X 11)
  • Clorox wipes
  • Baby wipes

SUGGESTED PERSONAL STUDENT SUPPLY LIST

  • Standard sized backpack (Highly prefer non-rolling backpack)
  • SMALL earbuds or SMALL headphones (in Ziploc bag with child’s name on it)
  • Computer Mouse

4th grade (20-21)

6th grade (20-21)

  • 4 highlighters (One of each: green, yellow, pink, blue)
  • 1 box/pack of Expo Dry Erase markers
  • 2 black Sharpie markers: 1 fine tip and 1 ultra-fine tip

Palmeri (20-21)

  • 1 - 2 inch 3 ring binder with Clear View

  • 1 pair of scissors – Spring Loaded/Adapted preferred (Check Amazon)
  • 1 pack of glue sticks - Elmer's Disappearing Purple preferred
  • 1 box of “Jumbo” Crayola crayons
  • 1 box of wide tip Crayola markers
  • 1 highlighter marker
  • 1 ream of white cardstock 
  • 1 pack of letter size laminating sheets (3-Mil Thick)
  • 1 box of tissues 
  • Sensory or fidget toys (i.e. hand massager, Koosh balls, light up wands, Playdoh, Putty, Moon Sand, bubbles)

Please write your child’s name on their backpack, lunch box, personal bathroom items (i.e. baby wipes), and spare clothing. Also, please write your child’s name on their school supplies, as we will not be  sharing these supplies in class. Please provide your child with a standard sized backpack, so that it will fit the IEP and Thursday Conduit Folder. Also, please provide your child with utensils and a napkin, should they need them for their snack/lunch. 

Titus (20-21)

  • 1 box of Ziploc bags (sandwich size)
