School Supply List for 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

Pre-kindergarten (24-25)

Portola Springs Elementary will provide all of the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience. However, you may choose to assist the school by purchasing the following supplies for your student. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

*If possible, please provide a water bottle and backpack and/or lunchbox  for your child to bring a snack (and completed work or school handouts) back/forth to school. Please write your child’s name on water/ snack containers and ALL clothing (especially jackets and outerwear). Should you choose to purchase a backpack, we suggest that it be standard size, not extra-small or large or suitcase sized.

SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST

  • 1-2 box(es) of Crayola 24 count crayons (regular size, not jumbo)
  • 1 pack Crayola Twistable Crayons (10 count)
  • 2-4 small packs Elmer's glue sticks
  • 1 large bottle of hand sanitizer
  • 1 pack of Paint Sticks (2 options linked, 6 pack or 12 pack)
  • 1-2 container(s) of disinfecting wipes
  • 1 box of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (6 count)
  • 1 can of shaving cream
  • 2  boxes of Kleenex Tissues

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR AM AND PM STUDENTS

  • 1 ream of white cardstock 8 1/2 X 11
  • Paper plates (for crafts)
  • Dixie cups (for crafts)
  • Playdough (10 pack)

Please note, Pre K supplies will be communal and  distributed as we need them in the classroom please do not label your donated supplies with names. Thank you. 

kindergarten (24-25)

*If possible, please provide a backpack for your child to bring a “daily folder” back/forth to school. Should you choose to purchase a backpack, we suggest that it be standard size, not extra-large or suitcase sized-no wheels please. 

SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST

  • 1 pair of headphones (please label your child's name on the bag)
  • 1 box pre-sharpened Ticonderoga #2 pencils
  • 1 box of Crayola 24 count crayons
  • 1 box Crayola washable markers (classic colors)
  • 6-8  small Elmer’s glue sticks
  • 1 hi-polymer white eraser
  • 2 small bottles or 1 large bottle of hand sanitizer
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex Tissues
  • 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
  • 1 ream of copier paper (white 8 1/2 X 11)

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL ITEMS

  • Red, yellow, green, and blue play-dough
  • 1 box of dry erase markers Thick or Thin
  • 1 ream white cardstock and/or bright colored copy paper
  • 1 box of gallon size Ziploc bags
  • 1 pack of pencil eraser tops

Please write your child’s name on water containers and ALL clothing. You do not need to write your child’s name on the school supplies.  The only item to label your child’s name is the bag with your child’s earbuds/headset.

1st grade (24-25)

Backpack hooks will be provided and we would like students to hang their backpacks on hooks to keep them off the floor to prevent ants and a trip hazard.

  • 1 full change of clothes to keep at school (shirt, shorts/pants, socks,  and undergarments)
