E-Book and Database Access Summer 2025

Summer Digital Access 2025

StudentAccess

Canvas

To extend student access to your Canvas course, you will need to add an End Date in your Course Settings. This must be done before the end of the term date (June 6th). First, click on SETTINGS on the left navigation, then scroll down to Participation and select Course from the dropdown menu. Next, enter the desired End Date (this must not be left blank). Finally, scroll down and click on Update Course Settings. For more details on these steps, please see this guide: How to Manually Extend Course Date.

Clever Badges

In alignment with Clever’s updated badge policy, which now includes expiration dates, all existing Clever badges will be deactivated on July 16th, 2025. This measure is being taken proactively to prevent potential disruptions to student access during the 2025-26 school year. Communication will be sent at the start of the school year on how you can create new Clever login badges for your incoming students.

Google Classroom

When you're ready to close out your 2024–2025 Classroom, we encourage you to follow these this guide for directions on how to archive your Google Classroom: Google Classroom: Archive a Class

This will ensure that both your content and your students’ work are preserved appropriately while keeping your Google environment tidy.

  • Have you notified parents?
  • Who will be managing student accounts and access?
  • Does it have OpenAI components that should be considered before recommending to students?

Canvas

Would you like to get your Canvas course ready for Fall? Since you won't have your District created course(s) ready until closer to the start of school, you can create a Summer Sandbox Course to design and plan with over summer. This is a great option if you would like to get your content ready to copy into your courses in the Fall. Check out the resource below for more information on how to close out this year and get ready for next year in Canvas.

SchoolCity

SchoolCity is available to teachers to copy over and create new common assessments for the upcoming school year. These can also be used for your PLC assessments once the school year starts by updating the PLC field after your PLC groups are created. Plus SchoolCity is now integrated in Canvas making navigation so much easier for you and your students. Please note students do not have access to these assessments until rostered and activated for the new school year.
